Earlier this year, Esri released a version of ArcGis that supports SAP HANA as a Geodatabase. Meaning existing ArcGIS users can now store and use geodatabases natively within SAP HANA.
Prerequisites are :
ArcGIS Pro 2.1 and ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.
Minimum version for SAP HANA :
SAP HANA 2.0 SP2 and SAP HANA 1.0 SPS09 – SPS12
What could be the interest of using HANA as a geodatabase?
Aside from the obvious performance increase due to the memory analysis and real-time capabilities of the SAP HANA Platform, you will also be able to use all the HANA engines available in the SAP HANA Platform.
